Recolor your life... with HOLI :)
As we grow old, festivals don't seem to interest us the way they did back when we were teenagers. As we get busy in our life trying to achieve something, to get to a destination, we all sometime tend to loose that interest in festivals.
I remember the Holi of 2019 in our office, when I got all the colors and we (3 colleagues of same age group) went to each and every one in office and then "sabko pakad pakad ke rang lagaya". Some of them did not want to but still "Bura na maano, Holi Hai" works.
And today is HOLI in 2022, I did not even care to carry colors or even wish anybody except a few. Got colored by my close friend and neighbor family before leaving for office and the rest I would do is to carry out my office work and check the updates from family playing Holi at home. Even they playing Holi did not arouse any interest that would make me feel bad or left out in this festival.
Sometime around 5 PM, arrives a video where my one year old is playing Holi with everyone at home and there I am ! Suddenly wanting to be with my buddy, share that big smile with him, play colors with him, dance to the Holi songs and rejoice each and every moment with him. His mother messaged, "We Missed you" and yes I missed them too !
With each phase of life, definitely we change a lot, but then there is this beautiful phase of parenting, where you once again become a child with your child. I once again now want to enjoy Holi with my kiddo, I once again want to relive all the fun with my buddy. Almost every parent would feel the same !
So go ahead, get that color missing in your life, take a little bit of every color and make your life even more colorful. After all, WE LIVE ONLY ONCE !
HAPPY HOLI :)
